Our story 

Welcome to Marani, the first Georgian restaurant in Oslo, where tradition, warmth, and rich flavors come together to create a truly authentic Georgian experience. The name Marani means “wine cellar” in Georgian, a nod to Georgia’s ancient winemaking traditions and the central role wine plays in our cuisine and hospitality. Inspired by the deep culinary heritage of Georgia, we bring the spirit of Georgian hospitality, design, and culture to the heart of Norway.

Our kitchen is dedicated to preserving authentic recipes passed down through generations. Every dish is prepared with carefully selected ingredients, traditional techniques, and genuine passion for Georgian cuisine, complemented by a carefully curated selection of traditional Georgian wines that reflect one of the world’s oldest winemaking cultures.

At the heart of our kitchen is the charcoal grill, where many of our signature dishes are cooked over open flames to capture the unmistakable smoky aroma and depth of flavor that define Georgian cuisine. Using traditional grilling methods, we prepare tender meats, fresh vegetables, and authentic specialties that highlight Georgia’s rich culinary traditions.

More than just a restaurant, Marani offers guests the chance to experience a traditional Georgian supra through our shared group menu, a celebration of food, connection, and togetherness.
